A BIT OF HISTORY

We first introduced fuel supply and bunkering services in the Maldives in 2007, marking the start of The Hawks’ journey. Since then, we have achieved several significant milestones that have sculpted our company into what it is today.

In 2011, we introduced The Hawks Bricks Factory and opened The Hawks Shop in Thilafushi. A year later, The Hawks Boat Yard was introduced and speedboat services begun. We conducted a material workshop that year, and completed the Alimas vessel as well. In 2013, The Hawks Ferry Service was introduced, while in 2014, we celebrated the grand opening of the Airport Beach Hotel and the completion of the Suvaasa vessel.

During the following year, we introduced water supply services, and completed the vessel Feeroz. The Hawks KST Baa Atoll kiosk and The Hawks Lathe Workshop were opened in 2016, and the Tropical Biosphere Hotel was opened in 2017.

In 2018, we marked the completion of our vessel Safaya and the inclusion of the vessel Hawks Prestige to our ever-growing portfolio. Likewise, in 2019, we completed the Hawks Javaahiru, and pushed it a step further by launching tug boat services in the Maldives.

Over the years, we have achieved renowned recognition for our high-quality products and services. At the Maldives Marine Expo in 2014, we received the Recognition Award for our remarkable industry contributions. We were awarded the prestigious ‘Bunkering & Fuel Supplier of the Year’ award in 2017 and 2018, and also won the Gold 100 Award as a Leading Company in the Maldives for three consecutive years, in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility is a high priority for The Hawks. As a local family business, we believe we can contribute to positive and sustainable developments for the benefit of our society. Since its incorporation in 2007, the company has been addressing challenges in a range of key focus sectors, from education, environment, sports and the economy.

We have undertaken numerous activities to make a difference for our employees, the local community, and the Maldivian economy. Notably, in 2017, our contributions included the Maldivian Investment Forum Dubai, South Asian Youth Summit in India, and the JCI Maldives Peace Run. In 2018, we contributed to the Millennium Youth Leaders Camp and the Maldives Civil Service Conference, while in 2019, a Cleaning Quest at Rasdhoo was organised.
